A victim of a bizarre case where a girl posing as a boy tricked two of her female friends into dating her said she never suspected her "boyfriend" to be a girl, Daily Mail reported Monday.

Earlier this year, British police arrested who they thought was a 19-year-old boy Aaron Lampard on suspicion of sexual assault to his teenage girlfriend Alice. However, when the police ran a strip search on Lampard, they found out that "he" was actually a woman.

Police found that the suspect, Gemma Barker had been pretending to be a boy to date Alice, Barker's close friend whose real name was withheld to protect her privacy.

Barker had set up a fake Facebook that featured several photos of a good-looking boy, trying to entice her teenage female friends into dates, according to reports.

Alice, who was 15 years old at the time she met Barker and Lampard, said she never even suspected her boyfriend and close friend to be the same person.

“I knew Gemma then for about two years and I didn’t see any physical resemblance within Aaron at all, You just don’t think when you meet up with someone, do you, like, oh that’s my friend dressed up,” she said.

Alice said she and "Lampard" met via Facebook and started dating online. When the two finally met in person, Lampard would always wear baggy clothes and a hat, and talked in deep voice.

Barker’s scheme finally came to light when Jessica Sayers -- who was dating Connor McCormack, another male alias of Barker -- found out that her boyfriend and Lampard looked exactly same.

Although Sayers could not bring herself to realize that McCormack/Lampard was in fact her and Alice’s mutual female friend, her suspicion eventually led the two victims to file sexual harassment complaints against their boyfriends to the police. The startling truth was finally revealed when the police apprehended the suspect at Alice’s house.

In another shocking development, it was revealed that Sayers had dated "Luke Jones," yet another male alias of Barker, before dumping him and going out with "Connor." Sayers said she hadn’t had the slightest suspicion about her ex-boyfriends’ true identity, noting that there were significant differences in the way they spoke, dressed and behaved.

“It was like they were two different people -- even when we kissed,” she said.

Barker admitted to two counts of sexual assault and fraud at Guildford Crown Court and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in March.

“그 당시 겜마를 2년동안 알고 지냈는데, 에런과 닮은 점을 전혀 못 찾았어요. 누군가를 만났을 때 ‘내 친구가 변장한 거야’라는 생각을 할 리는 없으니까요”라고 그녀는 말했다.

엘리스와 램파드는 페이스북에서 만나 처음에는 온라인상에서만 교제를 하다가 점차 직접 만나 교제를 하기 시작했다고 한다. 엘리스는 램파드가 그녀와 만날 때 항상 헐렁한 옷과 모자를 입고 낮은 목소리로 대화를 했다고 말했다.

바커의 사기 행각은 그녀의 다른 허위 신분인 ‘콘라드 맥코맥’과 교제 중이던 제시카 세이어스란 소녀가 자신의 남자친구와 엘리스의 남자친구가 똑같이 생겼다는 사실을 알아차리면서 발각되었다.

바커와 엘리스 두명과 모두 친한 사이던 제시카는 자신의 집에서 잠을 자던 맥코맥의 옆모습이 램파드와 똑 같다는 사실을 알아차리고 엘리스에게 이를 알려줬다.

결국 두 소녀는 경찰에 자신들의 ‘남자친구’를 성추행으로 고발하기에 이르렀고, 엘리스의 집에서 잠복하고 있던 경찰이 ‘램파드 (맥코맥이자 바커이기도 한)’를 체포하면서 이 촌극은 막을 내렸다.

한편 바커에게 농락당한 제시카 양은 바커의 세 번째 가짜 신분인 ‘루크 존스’와 사귀기도 했다는 기막힌 사실 역시 경찰 조사 결과 밝혀졌다.

존스와 사귀던 제시카는 그가 원치 않던 신체접촉을 강요하자 그와 결별하고 맥코맥과 사귀었는데, 그녀는 그 둘의 행동이나 말투에서 전혀 달랐다고 설명했다.

“(맥코맥과 존스는) 전혀 다른 사람 같았어요. 우리가 키스할 때도요.”라고 그녀는 설명했다.

바커는 성추행 혐의 두 건과 사기 혐의를 인정하고 징역 2년 6개월을 선고받았다.
