John: Gosh£¬ I got so embarrassed today at the office.
May: What happened?
John: We're talking about learning different languages and how exciting it can be sometimes when you actually meet and chat with the person from that country.
May: And?
John: I said that I studied Spanish for about 3 years in my university.
May: That's right. You speak good Spanish. I forgot about that.
John: Well£¬ I got so excited that I tried to fix my manager's pronunciation when he asked "where did you learn Spanish?" in Spanish.
May: Oh£¬ no.
John: Yeah£¬ everybody laughed and told me that he worked in Spain for 10 years!
May: His mother is Spanish so he speaks the language fluently. You tried to teach a fish how to swim!
John: I had no idea!
